Friday March 20th, 1931.
The Special Council CoMmittee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said
-Committee, Friday March 20th, 1931, at 9.45 A. M. All the members
of said Committee, Messrs, Fahlsing, Ford and Schnieder being pres-
ent . The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant, reported the complet-
ion of installation of light system and light posts, on both sides
-of South 19th & 20th Street, from Main to South "A" Street; South 21s
& 22nd Street, from Main to South "B" Street and in South "A" -Street
from South 20th to 22nd Street, under Improvement Resolution No.917-
1930. The Committee accepted the same and approved a primary assess-
ment therefore.
The Committee direct the Richmond Water Works Corp. , to extend the
water main in National Road, from Easthaven Avenue to approximately
600 feet west and order a fire hydrant placed on said extension, and
amended: the order made 'March 9th, 1931, by specifying a 6" main
and hydrant instead of 12" main, on said extension. _
The Committee received bids under Improvement Resolution No. 917-1931
for the improvement of the alley between South 10th & llth •Street
by constructing cement roadway the full width thereof, from Park
Place to South "B" Street, as follows to-wit :
" Daniel G. Burkhardt, bid;
Cement roadway complete 40.16 per sq-ft.
Straight curb & gutter 950 linear foot
Circle curb & gutter 1.00
" W. L. Magaw, bid;
Cement roadway complete 0,l7zc per sq-ft .
Straight curb & gutter 650 liPiear"foot
Circle curb & gutter -- 900 " -
f1 Lee Ridgeway, bid;
Cement roadway complete $0.20.3 per sq-ft.

The bid -of Daniel G. Burkhardt, being the lowest received and be-
ing within the estimate the contract was so awarded.
Claims in amount of 46,097. 73 were allowed.
