The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the
. City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at their
office on Monday March 16th, 1931, at 9 o c clock A. M. All the
members of said Committee, Messrs, Fahlsing, Ford and Schnieder
being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Notice of hearing before the Public Service Commission in mat-
ter of Dar Bus Lines (le;"+ Castle, Ind. , ) for a certificate of
Public convenience and necessity to operate motor vehicles as
a common carrier of passengers only, from Connersville Ind . ,
to Richmond, Indiana, hearing to be held March 26th, 1931 at
2 o 'clock P. I. Indianapolis, .Indianar was received and placed •
on file.
Complaint is made to the committee, of the continued violation
of truck drivers violating the city ordinances, by backing and
• driving -heavy trucks over the curbs and parkways, breaking the
curbs and ruining the parkways, this matter was referred to the
Police Department in an effort to estop such practices.
Report of broken sewer in rear of 716 National Road west, was
received and referred to the Street Coimiiieeioner.
. Sup °t. , of Light Plant was authorized to contract for two car
loads of coal per day for thirty days, from the Logan & Kanaw-
ha Coal Co. , for light plant at . 65 per ton f. o.b.mines.
Claims in amount of 44457.52 were allowed. •

Payrolls to March 16th, 1931, were approved.
