Monday March 9th, 1931.
The Special''`Council Oommittee.; Board of Public Works, of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at their of-
fice on Monday March 9th, 1931 at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the mern-
• bers of said Committee, Messrs, Fa'nlsing, Ford and Schnieder,
being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Committee met to.hear all persons interested, or whose prop-
erty is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 918-1931, for
the improvement of South 16th Street, by constructing cement side-
walks, curb,gutters and planting trees on both sides, and paving
the roadway with one of the following kinds of modern improve-
ments, Reinforced Concrete, Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt or Bitu-
minous re-tread macadam, from South 1°E" to "H!' Street . After
hearing all persons interested who appeared, it having been stated
. . by Miss Dilks, they• desired to sub-divide the Dilks Addition, but
the City Plan Commission would ' not consent to such a sub-division
unless the lots were laid out to a width of 50 feet, and they
desired to sub-divide and plat the same making the lots 42 feet
in width, the same as the lots - on the west side of 16th Street.
The Committee decide to take up this matter with the T3lan Com-
mission, in an effort to have the Zoning Ordinance amended so
the sub-division can ce made for 42 foot lots, and thereupon
continue hearing on said improvement to March 23rd, 1931 at. 9
o 'clock A. Q.
The Committee received bids for paint to be . used on city park
property as follows, to-wit;

_ The bid of Rees Ryan, being considered the best bid received
contract was so awarded. .
The Committee ordered the 12" water main extended in National
Road, from Easthaven -Ave. to a point ap_orox. 600 feet west ..
Street Commissioner was directed to place proper barriers :_to
close the bridge in Happy Hollow on Bridge Ave , crossing the
east fork of river.
The Special Council Committee
then adjourned,
