The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at their office on Friday January 30th, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A. M. 'All the members of said Committee, Messrs, Fahlsing, Ford and Schnieder being present. • The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. • Councilman Frank Shissler, appeared before the Board, requesting that the Committee instruct the Street Department, to make some very much needed repairs to streets north of the railroad east of North 12th Street, the Committee decide to visit said streets for investigation as what should and could be done. _ Public Service Commission of Indiana, presented a copy of order of said commission in matter of permission of Chas. Burnside of Urbana Ohio, to operate Motor vehicles as a common carrier of property in- . terstate only from Indianapolis, Ind. , to Columbus, , Ohio, over State Highway No. 40, accepted & placed on.. file. ne Committee unanimously adopted. Improvecent Resolution No. yl7-1y5: to improve the alley between South 10th & llth Street, by construct- ing cement roadway from South "B" St. to Park Place. • The Board authorize Sup 't. , of Light Plant to contract for February supply of coal for Light Plant, with the Old Ben Coal Co. , @ 550 ton. Mr. V. McGuire appeared before the Committee, requesting that in the event any part of South "CO Street at entrance to new bridge off of South 5th Street on south side of bridge is vacated, that the owners of the Frank Schibler property abutting said "G" Street, be given preferance in purchase of vacated part of street. *the Committee Police Department were instructedi not_ to purchase any supplies for the city building and jail, and*adopt a rule that in the future all supplies for the city building, shall be ordered by the Special Council Committee. • Claims in amount of 982.17 were allowed.
