The Special Council Co::n it tee , Board of Public nrks of the City
of Richmond Indian, met in regular session at their office on
Friday January 23rd, 19J1 at 9 o ' clock A.M. All the members of
said Committee, Messrs, Fa nlsirig, Fora any. Schnieder ''Vein present.
The following n::oceedings v.ere ha_d, to-wit :
'I/ The minutes of the "preceedin_ meeting were read and approved.
A petition for the improvement of alley between South 10th & llth
Street , by constructing cement roadway in said alley from Park Place
to South"B° Street, was received and referred to Engine er for plans .
A recommendation from Police Commissioners recommending that metal
stop signs be placed on both sides of South "A° Street at its inter-
section with South 3.9th, 20th, 21st and 22nd Streets, was received
and Street Commissioner directed to place said signs recommended.
Matter of installing arc lights in S.W. Toth Street south of the
Ha_tiona1 Road, also at South 15th & "H" Streets, was referred to
Sup 't . , of Light Plant for investigation & report .
Street Department was directed to set back the curb at the northeast
corner of Mouth -rth & °E° Streets .
Upon the recommendation of Sup 't . , Hess of Light Plant, the contract
for lb Fans t:ith. General Electric Motors complete, to be installed
at cooling tower of light plant, was awarded to the Hartzell Propel-
ler Co. , of Piqua, Ohio. at ,;5572. bO, as per oid of 1/19, 1931,
The Hoard awarded contract to Hudson-Essex Co. , for One four door
Broughan Sedan at price of (90.00, for light plant, as per bid
received January 19th, 1931.
The Committee accepted and approved specifications submitted by
b. C.Hess, Sup 't . , of Light Plant, for Boilers, Feed V ater Heater -anc.

The Committee authorize ll. C.Hess Sun 't . , and John Graham Chief Engin-
eer to attend Power Show to cc held 4 C a;. Il, . t f�T, l�s_1C. `U, �i7e �lee � O
February 9Lh, 1931, legitemate expenses to be paid by plant.
Claims. in amount of ' 20S1. 14 were allowed.
