Friday December 26th, 1950.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Puolic Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of
said Committee Friday December 26th, 1930, at 9 o ' clock A. l',i.
- All the members of said Committee, JAessrs, Fahlsing, Ford and
Schnieder being present . The following proceedings were had, '
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
A communication to the City Engineer, from the Pennsylvania H.R. 1/
advising that they have been making a study of the entire situa-
tion for undergrade crossing at N. 12th Street, and expect to have
plans for separation of grades to present for criticisms and sug-
gestions in the near future. &i7
Appraisers a-:)•)ointed by Judge of Wayne Circuit Court, Messrs,
S.',Y.Bricker, W.A.Goodwin and Walter MoCbnana, made their report
appraising the two Police Phaetons at 4 250.00 each. The Committee
order the clerk to advertise for bids for three closed automobiles
for Police Department , and trade in, or sell the two phaetons
at not less than the aperiLsed value thereof.
Fire Chief, reported that in responding to an alarm of fire on
Wednesday December 24th, 1930, the No. 2 fire truck collided with
an automooile at North 12th & UFn Street, celonging to D. A.Porter
of Bradford, Ohio, slightly damaging the truck and doing consider-
able damage to the sutoniooile of said Porter, no personal injur-
ies of any consequence were sustained by either the firemen or
occupants of the automobile, clerk ordered to make a record of
said adliiesion.
Committee
The Bar met to hear remonstrances a:m'ainst amount of benefits
& damages under Declaratory Resolution No. 244--1930, for the
vacation of alley 1st north of South 11B" Street from. South 2nd
Street west and alley in rear of Lot 4, S..R.Wi gins , Addition.
No one remonstrating, the Iaoama approved a final assessment roll
confirming the primary assessment roll as heretofore approved,
and directed the sane be transmitted to the Department of Finance,
and declare said alley vacated.
The Committee met to hear remonstrance against amount of benefits
& damages primarily assessed under Declaratory Resolution No. 245-
1)30, for opening an alley off of pamtV pfi'Lot LE, & S.W. corner
Lot 3, S.R. 'Niggins Addition, from South 2nd Street west. No one
remonstrating, the Committee approved a final assessment roll
confirming the original assessment roll as heretofore confirmed
and directed the saitie be forthwith transmitted to the Department
of Finance, and declared said alley opened.
The Committee received bids for the removal, col _ecti on and dis-
posal of garbage and dead animals in City of Richmond, for the
period of four (4) years, from January 1st, 1931 as f ollows, v iz:

Including the wholesale houses, poultry houses and groceries . at
$15,�+65.00 tier year for two years ; for the last two years we increase
our bid 4500.00 each year for the last two years .
I/ ' Abid was submitted by 0. E. Kennedy, after opening the same, it
was found their was no certified check as required under the speci—
fications and advertisement , the bid was not read or received by
the committee.
All bids were taken under advisement , for investigation and report
of the Board of Public Health.
Claims in amount of $243. G0 were allowed and ordered paid.
