The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works, of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Committee, Friday December 19th, 1930, at 9 o ' clock A? M. All the members of said Committee, Messrs, Fahlsing, Ford, and Schnieder, being present . The following proceedings were had, to-tit : • The minutes. of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. Matter of need of traffic lights _ at Main 8_ 3rd Streets, report- ed by Councilman Waltermann, was taken under advisement until next year. The request of arc light in Southwest 2nd Street between "D" & "E" Streets, by councilman Benn, was taken under advisement for investigation. The installation of system of Street Lights and light posts in North 10th Street, from North "F" Street to north corporate lim- its, under Improvement Resolution No. 916-1930, installed by the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant was reported as completed. The- ComAttee accept the same and' approved a primary assessment roll therefore, assessing the costs of the posts in • said improvement to the abutting property owners, cost of posts 529. 20 , cost to property 0. 12/65 per linear foot . The Committee purchase an American Flag and pedestel to be placed in the Council Chamber from Bartel, Rohe, Rosa & Co. , The City Attorney was -requested to prepare an ordinance to com- pell property owners to keep sidewalks abutting their property in proper and safe repair. The Committee ap,)roved the avrious city payrolls to December 16, 1930. Claims in amount of 7i43 .37 were allowed. Application of Wm. Johnston, to use park ground of the city for gardening purposes north of Clear Creek Bridge, was received and t ak e n under advisement . • The Special Council Committee then adjourned, Attest : Prest . 2 City Clerk
