The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works, of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Committee on Friday December l2th, 1$30, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Committee Messrs,. f hlsing, ford and Schnieder being present.. The following proceedings were had, to-wit The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read & approved. A petition was presented for the improvement of Parry Street,by constructing 4 ' cement sidewalks, curb , Gutter and graveled road- . way, from South 9th to lath Street, which was referred to the II. City Civil Engineer for investigations and report. . • The Clerk was directed to advertise for Automobile Coupe, for use of the Park Department . The 1 oard approved a primary assessment roll under Declaratory No. 244-1530, to vacate the 1st alley north of South "B" Street from South 2nd Street west .. The BOZTa approved a primary assessment roll under Declaratory Resolution lio. 245-1530, for opening an alley north of South "B" Street from South 2nd Street west. The Street Commissioner was instructed to level South 8th St . . along the property of The Great States Corporation, and haul • cinders on said street, the Great States Corporation agreeing to pay for the cinders. • Harold Coleman, Sup 't. , of Parks,- reported that/George.-CIapp an employee at the park, who was injured a week ago, died this A.M. stating he had reported same to the agency carrying the cities compensation insurance.. The clerk was authorized to return all checks deposited with bids subiiitted on Item m5, for piping, etc. , at light plant , except the Pittsburgh Piping & -quipment Oo 's, check. The clerk was instructed to notify the Health Department to in- spect the condition existing at SP. cor•ner of West- Main and 15th Street, and notify the property owners to stop running the sewage in the open ditch. Request for Fire Alarm box at North 15th & "J" Streets and east National Road, was referred to fire Chief. Upon the advice of the City Attorney, the City Treasurer was in- structed to secure bond in sum of 4100, 000.00 as required by statutes.
