The Special Council Committee-Board of Public 'Works, os. the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at their office Monday December 8th, 1930, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Committee, Messrs, Fahlsingg, Ford and Schnieder being present. The following proceed- ings were had, to-wit : • Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. A petition was received requesting that a space of 3 automobile •/ lengths be reserved for unloading. and loading in front of the Y.M. C.A. Building on North 8th Street, the Street Commissioner was in- structed to paint no-parking signs placed in space reserved; likewise to reserve a place on west side of o- th llth Street for loading,& unloading at side of Singer Sew eng Machine Office at No. 103b Main Street. Sup 't . , of Light Plant was instructed to install an arc light at corner of Ratliff & Brenner Street- . Richmond Plumbing Store was instructed to place new bowl in Deten- tion house to re-place the one broken at a cost of 8.00 complete. The Committee approved the contract and bond of Arthur Thomas, for constructing the foundations for Pump House and Cooling Tower at Light Plant under Item Tr` 3, of specifications prepared therefore. The Committee approved the contract and bond of W.L.Magaw contractor for erection of pump house at Light Plant under Item 4, of speci- fications prepared therefore. The City Attorney reported that the specifications for the collect- ion and disposal of garbage and dead animals in the City of Richmond • referred to him, after carefully reading the same, he was of the opinion they were as near complete as possible to make them. The Committee approved the specifications for collection and dispos- al of Garbage and Dead Animals in the City of Richmond, Indiana, and now direct the clerk to advertise for bids for said collection and dtspost.1. The Committee sign agreement by and between the City of Richmond M.E. L. & P.P. and property owners in Washington Court, whereby the Light Plant is take over the underground system and keep the same in proper repair. Upon recommendation of Sup 't. Hess, the Committee awarded the con- tract for"Pumps!' for cooling tower at i:i.E. L.& P .P. to The Allis- Chalmers thi'g. Co. , at price need in their bid submitted therefore.
