The Special Council Committee; Board of Public Works, met in regular session at their office Friday December 5th, 1950, , at 9 o 'clock A.2. All the members of said Committee, Messrs, i'ahl- sing, Ford and Schnieder being present . The Following proceed- . ings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. A communication from the Public Service Commission of Indiana was received, as to hearing in matter of fixed charges .against Telephone Companies in the State, regarding removal, changes moving telephones etc. , which was referred to the City Attorney. The clerk was instructed to communicate with the Board of School Trustees, in an effort to have flood lights placed at Hibberd School, during the time of night games at the school grounds. Street Commissioner was instructed to place cinders in front of the Church in Parry Street. • Police Commissioner Geo. Hamilton, appeared before, the Board in an effort to have the lights left burning all night along Street, stating the different colored ._lobes placed over posts for holiday decorations obstructs the light, the clerk was directed to write to i,-ir. Johnson Secy. , of Retail Merchants • Assn. in an effort to have colored globes removed. Pursuant to advertisement,, the Committee meet to receive bids for various improvements and betterments at i4iunicipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant as listed herein, to-wit : Item 1. 16-5 ' Fans complete with motors; " 2. 10, 000 G.P.M. Centrifugal pumps, complete with motors; " 7 . Concrete foundation for cooling tower and pump house; 4. Brick Pump House; • 5. Pipe, Fittings and Valves; " 6.
