Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of Board of Public Works, Friday November 28th, 1930, at 9 O ' clock A.M. All_ the members of said Committee, Messrs, Fehlsing, Ford, and Schnieder being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The. minutes of the preceeding meeting were read. & approved. The Special Council Committee unanimously adopted Improvement- - . Resolution No. 917-1930, for the installation of a system of street lights and light posts as follows, to-wit : South 19th Street, , froth Main to South "A" Street; South 20th Street, from • .Main to South "A" Street ; South 21st & 22nd Street, from Main to South "B" Street and South "A" Street, from South 20th to South 22nd Street, and order, the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant to erect and install the same, and the light posts to be assessed against the abutting property along the line of said improvement . The Committee accepted the One 600 gallon Skirmisher quadruple Automobile Rotary Type Pumping Engine,Hose Car, Ladder Truck- Booster equipped—Model U-W-60-1- Reg. #5014 . Built by The Ahrens Fox Fire Engine Co. , of Cincinnati, Ohio. Fire Chief E.E.Miller, was authorized to employh extraTipeman in Fire Department beginning December 1st, 1930. . Sup 't. , of City Light. Plant, was instructed to place. flood lights at Glen Miller Park at the Lake and Rasetelt Field, for coasters and skaters at. said park, and Sup 't of Parks was authorized to flood' the hill in Rasevelt field, for the purpose of preparing . the hill suitable for coasting. Mr. Hess, Sup 't. , of Light Plant reported, that he had investi- gated the conditions at Neef Street, from Ft-Wayne Ave. to North • 6th Street, stating there was no puclic necessity for a light on this street . Claims in amount of 1456.20 were allowed. and ordered paid. The Committee referred the specifications for gathering & dis- posal of garbage to City Attorney, for his opinion thereon.
