Monday November 24th, 1930.
The Special Council Committee, acting Board of Public Works of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of
said Board, Monday November 24th, 1930, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the
members of said. Committee, Messrs, Fahlsing, Ford and Schnieder be-
ing present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
C. A. Heashe, was granted permission to cut the curb at his property
on east side of Ridge Street, Lot#28, Fairview Heights, Addition.

th The Committee award e con J. for concession privileges at Glen
Miller Park for the four years beginning December 1st, 1930, at
price named in his bid submitted therefore i. e. 4850.00 per 'year
for exclusive rights to sell refreshments etc. , in said park, in-
cluding refreshment privileges at Golf Course.
The Committee named Walter Runge, as manager of Municipal Golf Course
in Glen Miller Park for season 1931.
The matter of arc light in. Neff Street, Was referred to Superintend-
ent of Light Plant to investigate and report.
The Bo:nmittee received bids for Sub and top floor timber, for use on
Doran Bridge under specifications of the . City Civil Er_vineer, as
follows, to-wit;
" Richmond Lumber Company, bid;
22000 ft .B.M. #2 Common Yellow Pine @ 422.00 per M. Total--4484.00
" The Philip Carey' Company, bid;
11000 sq-ft . 12" Carey Elastite Asphalt Plank--4.1120 sq-foot.
The bids being_within the estimate of the City Civil En °ineer, the
contracts were awarded to above named companies at prices' named.
.The Board received bids for lettering city automobiles, as follows;
Nordyke Sign Co. , bid; Ten cars 445.00 Gold leafxx first class letter
"!arkleroad, bid: Oil colors-4 3. 50 car, 12 cars Gold letters-450.00
'I, Richmond Sign System,bid: Bronze-Gold or aluminum--47. 25 per car
Gold Leaf-4122. 87 per car; Paint 2 coats---410.85 per car.
" Auto Refinishing Co. , bid; Genuine !'Gold Leaf"-----47. 00 per car.
Gold Bronze---$5.00 per car. Letters any color--55.00 per car.
The Board award the contract for said leterring to Nordyke Sign Co.',
at average price of 44. 50 per car using gold leaf N N.
Claims in amount of 4208394. 60 were allowed.
111 The Committee order resolution prepared for installing light post
system in South 19th, South 20th Street, from Main to South- "A". St .
and South 21st Street, from Main to South "B" Street.; and South
"A" St. from 20th to 22nd St.
The Special Council Committee then adjourned,
