- Friday October 31st,1930.
The Special Council Committee acting Board of Public Works of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, met at its office Friday October 31st,
1931, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the ' members of said committee, Messrs,
Fahlsing, Ford and Schnieder being present. The following proceed •
-
ings were had, to-wit : -
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
Harold Colernan, Sup 't. of Parks was directed to purchase trees, neces-
sary to be planted under Improvements completed, at the best prices
which can be - secured.
The Democratic Central Committee, were granted the use - of the Coun-
cil Chamber, for precinct committee meeting to be held Saturday
November 1st, 1930,

Richmond Plumbing Store, were instructed to furnish and install a
new lavatory in Womens Toilet in City Building at price -of p7.00.
Copies of- orders of Public- Service Commission of Indiana, in matter
of Reindeer Stages, Richmond to Chicago, Ill. , The Ohio Bic Lines Co.
to change route from Ohio State Line to Richmond. and the Greyhound
Lines inc. to abandon• certain operations between College Corner and
Richmond, were received and plao-ed on file.
Mr. Leslie W. Beach tendered his resignation as Building Inspector
which was on motion of Mr. Ford accepted.
Mr. Schnieder, moved- that- Harry Hodgin be appointed Building Inspect-
or, subject to the approval of the Common Council, seconded by Mr.

Ford, motion unanimously prevailed.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for furnishing a 4 or
° 6 cylinder Auto Coupe, for the use of Dairy Inspector and Inspector
of Weights & Measures each. Also, to prepare resolution to present
to council, for permission td trade in the two old Ford cars now
used by said uairy .Inspector and Inspector of Weights & Measures.
• The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids on Park Concessions for
coming 4 years, under specifications suggested by the Committee. •
The Special Committee reported they had let contract to The Lilie-
Hoffman Cooling Tower Co. , of St.Louis, Mo. for furnishing said
tower to Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Co. , at prices in bid
received therefore Oct. 20th, 1930. 44,,''sa
Blaims in amount of ?12, 726, 66 were allowed and ordered paid.

The Special Council Committee then adjourned to meet Monday November
3rd, 1930, at 9- o 'clock A.M.
