Friday August 29th, l930. • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boara Friday August 29th 1930, at 9 o 'clock A. . All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Lye being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit The Board granted permission -to Wallace W. Kendall to cut the curb on south sgioe of Southwest "A" Street at the .alley at Lot #3, Howes Sub-Division. , The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose .property is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 912-1930, for installation of Light Post System in Southwest 4th Street, from Vest Main Street to National Road. No one remonstrating the Board approved a final assessment roll, confirming the original assessment roll here- tofore approved, and now ordered the same transmitted to the Depart- ment of Finance. Tne Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 913-1930, for the • installation of Light Post System in South "A" Street, from 18th to 20th Street; thence in South 20th Street, from South "A" to "B" Street No, one objecting Or remonstrating, the Board approved a final assess- ment .roll confirming the original assessment roll as heretofore a:.p- pr'oved and now direct the scale be forthwith transmitted to the Denart- _inent of. Finance. A petition was presented signed by G.J .Derbyshire, General Sup 't of C. & 0. Ry. Co. , of Indiana, praying:. that North 2nd Street be vacated from the south side of railroad to present vacated. 2nd Street; also . the alleys lying between the railroad tracks and North 2nd St eet and between said 'tracks and vacated .North " C" Street, the Board order a Declaratory Resolution prepared for said vacations as petitioned fo:;. The Board signed agreement in matter of Polk line in North 2na Street ; also. for switching track along North 2nd Street , 'oet'''esn the :r .E.L. P.P. and the C. & O. Ry. Co. , of Indiana, (See agreements) Upon recommendation of D . 0.i-ess the Board order arc light installed in Charles. Avenue between National Road east and, Glen idiiler Park. The Board enter into contract with Standard Oil Co. , for oil for use of Light •Plant for period ending July ?3rd, 1931. / . The Boara order the fullowii7.;5 shipments of coal during .Lionth of Sep. Two car a day, fr'om Le ga.n & anawha Coal Co. , '=' 500, ton f. o.b.mines One car a day from Old Ben Coal Corporation, G u(14 ton. f. o, o.!nines Claims in amount. of yp1.2, O2u.g6 were ally;wed.
