Monday August LI-th, 1930.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday August --th
1930, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present: The following proceed-
ings were had, to-wit :
The Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board received bids for labor and materials necessary in
changing the bath room in No', 1 Fire Department as follows, viz :
" Richmond Plumbing Store, bid; Complete Nl -0.00
" W. C. Bass & Son, bid: Complete 4220.00
" Ince-Reynard Plumbing Co. , bid; Complete 4276.00
The Board award contract to Richmond Plumbing Store, for a
complete change of- said bath room at price above named.
. As the County Commissioners has authorized the County Superintend-
ent of Highways to proceed with their portion of work in connect-
ion •with resurfacing the New Paris Pike, North 24th Street and
the Hawkins Road. Upon recommendation of the City civil Engineer
and Street Commissioner, the Street Department was directed to
proceed with the cities portion of the work, estimated at approxi-
mately w 6,000.00.
The City Civil Engineer, presented report in matter of South "B"
Street relief sewer, postponed last year on account of the unfavor-
able condition of the bond market, estimated at 4165, 000.00.
The report was ' ordered read to the Cot:i;iion Council at their mee•t-
ing this P. i rib, {
Permission, was granted W. S. MoOleland to . cut the -curb - for drive-
' way on Southwest "C" ' Street, at Lot No. 11 Earlham Place, Addition
under the supervision of the City Civil Engineer:
Claims' in amount of 47, 012. 52 were allowed.
