The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 28th 1930, at 9 o °clock A. M. All the- members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : - The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. • The Board directed the Finance Department to pay Lee Ridgeway contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 89+-1929, the sum of 5$b9.41, being 56/8 retained under said contract. The' Finance Department Was directed. tc pay Daniel G. Burkhardt contractor, the amount of P60.16, being 5% retained under Improvement Resolution' No. 89 7-1929 . . The Board received a letter of thanks from L. F. Ross M.D. Medical Su-pit., at Richmond State Hospital, for aid given by the City 's Fire Department in extinguishing a roof fire in One of their buildings and helping put out a grass fire on July 26th, 1930, stating they would meet whatever charge is . usually made for such services outside the City. - The Board after considering the matter, decide that as the hospital is maintained through Taxation, there should not be any charges made for such services, and the Clerk was directed to acknowl- edge receipt of said letter and inform Dr. Ross, of action taken by the Board. A complaint having been made, that the employees at Golf Links in Glen Miller Park, were using city water for sprinkling the greens at the course. - As a ban had been established on • all use of city water for sprinkling purposes, it was unani- mously decided by the Board, that they be directed to cease . - sprinkling the golf greens with city water, until such time as the ban on sprinkling is lifted.
