Monday July 14th, 1930.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 14th,
1930, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of . said Board, Messrs,
Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present, the -following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The Board held a meeting with a delegation of gardners, renting
stalls at the City market House, the gardners protesting against a
recent order estaolisiiing an additional fee of 254 per day at the
Tuesday and Thursday morning markets, said fee to be paid whether
or not stall holders did or did not attend these markets. The
protesting gardners expressed the belief that their annual stall
. rentals should entitleJthem to attend Tuesday and Thursday markets
without any additional charge. The Board stated that the market
house had been operated by the city at a loss for many years, and
that the Boards intention was to improve conditions at the market.
They also stated that the plan to charge small fees for use of the
market space on Tuesdays and Thursdays was at the request of other
stall holders. The Board upon motion, take the above matter under
advisement until further investigation.

Permission was granted Louis Morel, to cut the curb and re-construct
the sidewalk on north side of North "A" Street, between North 5th
and oth Streets at Lot No. 23 J. Cox, Addition.
• Claims in amount of $12, 064. 28 were allowed.
