The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,mct
in regular session at the office of said Board Friday July l, th
1930, at 9 orclock A.M. Messrs, Edmondson & Dye being present ;
Mr. Peelle being- absent. Two members of said Board being pres-
ent. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, Of persons whose
property is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution I/
No. 906-1930, for construction of cement sidewalks and plant-
ing trees on north side of West Main Street, from 8th to llth
Street. No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board approved
a final assessment roll approving the primary assessment roll
as heretofore approved, and now direct the sane be forthwith
transmitted to the Department of Finance.
Various complaints referred to the Board at last meeting of
council were received and referred to the proper departments.
The Board received report of D. C.Hess, Sup 't . , of ivi. E.L.& P.P.
in matter of Sale of the Liberty Light & Power and T.H.I .& E.
Traction Co. , properties to the Insull organization, which was
read and placed on file.
- A recommendation from Police Commissioners recommending automa-
tic traffic -signal at -North 19th & "E" Streets, was received
and placed on file.
The Oity .Civil Engineer, S. W. Hodgin, reported the 5% reserves
due contractors on work done under_ the Improvement Resolutions
named as follows, to-wit

Upon the recommendation of City Civil Engineer, the Finance
Department was directed to pay said contractors the amounts
due as specified above. -
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for (,uadriple truck
with pump, booster tank, ladders etc. , under the specifications
prepared by E•E,Miiller, Fire Chief, also, to request bidders to
name the amount they will allow on a trade in of one of the old -
Brockway Chemical Hose ''vagon with chemical tank.
