• Monday June 2nd, 1930.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Monday June 2nd,1930
at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson,
Peelle and Dye being present. The following proceedings were had,
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose property
is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 899-1929, for
the improvement of South "0" Street, 'by constructing cement curb &
• gutter and paving the roadway with reinforced concrete, from South 7th
to 8th Street, grading roadway and constructing with reinforced con-
- crete a 20 foot strip thru the center of said street, from South 5th
- to 7th Street. No remonstrance having been filed, the Board approved
a final assessment roll confirming the original assessment roll as
heretofore confirmed, and now direct, the same be forthwith transmit-
ted to the Department of Finance.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose property
is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 908-1930, foa,.
the improvement of the 1st alley -north of Main Street, by construct-
ing a cement roadway- the full width thereof, from North 20th to 21st
Street, No one remonstrating, the Board approved a final assessment
roll confirming the original assessment roll heretofore confirmed,
and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department
of Finance.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll of benefits and damages
under Declaratory Resolution No. 24.1-1930, for the vacation of 20
feet off of the north side of Parry Street, from South 9th to 13th
Street.
Councilman Frank Shissler, appeared before the Board, - requesting that
certain streets in north part of city be repaired before oiling,
which was referred to Street Commissioner,

The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for 900 tons more or
less of stone chips for use of the City, under the Indiana State
Highway Commission 's specifications, -

• The Board approved the various payrolls to June 1st, 1930.
Claims in amount of 577.S0 were allowed.
Sup 't. , Hess, submitted quotations received from various Coal Mines
for Nut & Slack Coal for use at Light Plant for June 1930, which were
taken under advisement® .
