Friday May 2nd,1930.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Friday May 2nd,
1930, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, Edmondson and Dye, being pres-
ent, Mr. Peelle being absent; Two members of said Board being
present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit:
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Perrgssion was granted the Richmond Lumber Co. , to cut the curb _
for driveway in Northwest 2nd Street at Lot No. 11, West Side
Syndicate, Addition to City of Richmond.
The Board approved the contract & bond of W. L. Magaw, contractor
under Improvement Resolution No. 908-1930.
The Board approved the contract & bond of Harry S. Marshall, con-
tractor for furnishing 60,000 gallons more or less of Asphalt
for use on the city 's streets.
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution No. 907-1930, for construction of- storm
sewer in South 8th Street, from South "0" to "P" Street; thence
by open ditch to South 7th Street, at a cost of 44581.97. The
same was accepted and assessment roll orilsed.
Contractors, Lee Ridgeway and E.A.Mariani Co. , inc. , were noti-
fied to remove their large truck carriers from the Market lot
on South "A" Street between 5th & 6th Street, as the aforesaid
ground is needed for public parking of vehicles.
The matter of loose dirt etc. , in South 23rd Street, was referred
to Street Commissioner and City Engineer.
Payrolls to May 1st, 1930, were approved.
