The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board, Monday April 28th,1930
at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, Edmondson and Dye Being present ; Mr.Peelle
Absent. Two members of said Board being present, the following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting 'were read and approved.
The Board approved an agreement by and between Ray K. Shiveley, dune
E. Shiveley and -the city light plant, for right of way thru their
property to lay conduits and install pull-hole Lots 29& 250,Block C
Mendenhall & Coffin 's, 3rd Addition.
The Board received report of appraisers fixing the value of old Tract.
or @ $125.00 and old Ford Truck with dump body ® $160.00, used by
the street department, which are to be traded in on purchase of new
Truck with dump body for said department.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 242-1930,
to vacate easterly alleys of the Jackson Sub-Div. of Anna M. Jack-
son, Addition, north of South "B" Street, betwee, South 18th & 20th
Street; also a portion of South 20th Street as laid out on the Of-
ficial Map of the City of Richmond, between South "A" & "B" Streets,
(See resolution for descriptions. )
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 911-1930,
for improvement of South 20th Street, by constructing cement curb &
gutter, 4i ' sidewalks on both sides of street; except that portion
of walk already constructed and in good condition; Also grading and
paving the roadway with one of the following kinds of pavements,to-
wit : Reinforced Concrete, Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt or Bituminous
Macadam re-tread, from South "A" Street to a point south where the
street has been improved.
Claims in amount of $2049.96 were allowed.
Mr. H. J. Hanes, appeared before the Board, requesting that they
• visit his property south of South "E" Street west of 23rd Street
to investigate the existing conditions, with a view to giving him
some relief, the Board agree to visit said property, as soon as
Mr. Peelle returns.
The Board then adjourned,
