Friday April l8th, 1930.
The- Board of Puolic Works of the City of Richmond, . Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Friday April leth,.l 93 s
at 9 o 1clock_ A.Mi. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson,
Peelle and Dye being present . The following proceedings were had
_ to-wit.: -
Th.e minutes of the preceeding meeting- were read and approved.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 241-19 0,
providing for the vacation: of 20 •feet off- the cut-ire north side Of
Parry Street, extending from South 9th Street to the Test line Of
ouch ljth Street. .
A repot of the H.R. Heinicke Co. ,was received as to the condition
of the '� Radial brick chimney" at the Light Plant, together with recom-
mendations and submitted a bid in the amount of $987.00 to carry
out their recommendations as to necessary repairs, which they guaran-
tee to make in a first class manner. The report was referred to the
Sup it. , of City Light Plant.

The Board received report .Of appraisers, Walter McOonaha, Sam Jaffe &
T. rd .Hadley appointed by the Judge of ;1 .yne County Circuit Court , ahc
fix the true value as follows, viz : One Ford Truck with dump Jody '
4 230. 00 and :Jne Tractor $175.00.
Permission was granted .Margaret Conway to cut the curb for driveway
at :349 Southwest 4 th Street .
The Board received communication from Geo. J . Derbyshire, Supit . , of
C. & O. Ry. Co. , together with a copy of letter received oy him from
the Richmond Roller Mills & Elevator Co. 1' which was ordered placed on

A petition was received, for the impi•ovement of South 20th Street, by
construction of cement curb, gutter & sidewalk on coth sides of street
and paving the roadway with a concrete base & bituminous re-tread top,
from South "A" Street south to present pavement . , referred to the
city e!1Jineer for plans, etc. ,
Recuests for reda.ir of driveways to the property on west side of
South 23rd Street -between South "Ba Street & Reeveston Road, as prom-

pursuant to advertisement , the Board received bids, for furnishing
60, 000 gal. more or less of Aspnalt and 30, 000 gal.. more or less o;
Tar; also, for unloading, heat in , storing and distributing as .may be
directed oy the city, uld price to cover all expense incident to hand-
ling the material, including tank oar rental, demurrage, etc . ,
Also, for furnishing the above Asphalt and Tar applies: on the streets
as may oe directed by the city, all material furnished to oe in ac-
cordance with the specifications of the Indiana State Highway Commis-

The .Board approved the payrolls to April 16th, 1930.
The Board then adjourned,
