City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday April 7th, 1930.
The Board of Pudic Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday April (th
1930, at 9 o 'clock A, M. All the members of said Board, messrs,
Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding -neetin were read and approved.
Permission wa.s granted Hoyt F . Boylan to cut the curb for drive-
way at 305 South 22nd Street.
The Board received copy of the order of the Puolic Service Commis-
sion of Indiana, in _matter of extens .on of contract fur electric
energy to. toe furnished by the City to the T.H. I , & E, T-r-action Co . ,
for 'period- of six months, froth May 20th, 1930, which was ordered
_placed_ oh file.
The Board receive, re ;u.est from Board of Police 0ot.tmi ssi aner to the
effect, that as tile_ Police Department have no service department to
keep the traffic lights in repair, that the traffic lights should be
in the same class as the .Street Lighting system, and recommend that
the traffic light system be the property of Municipal Electric Light
Power Plant , and that they service them; and charge to cover the
same as included in the charge for street lights , the same was taken
under ad v i s e-_ment ,
The Board directed the municipal Electric Lighting & Po\ter Plant to
install traffic light at North lath & " En Streets; also, to install
t-vuo arc lights in South 23rd Street and one in South t'B" Street near

The City Engineer was directed to investigate and report as to the
cost of improving Parry Street,. by -graveled roadway instead of pav-
ing, from South 9th to 13th Street, as recommended by City Planning
Commission.
Claims in amount Of ; 14-, 5(j . 09 were allowed.
