Monday March 24th, 1930.
The Board of Puolic Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular ' session at the office of said Board Monday March
24th, 1ti30, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present . The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The- City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under )
Impro-v ement Resolution No. 905-1929, for the construction of a
Sanitary Sewer between South 5th & oth Street , running fri om the
sewer in alley uetween South 5th & bth Street at South " I" Street
south over private property to Lot 20 Anna B. Cohorst ' s, Addition
Lo the City of Richmond, Indiana. The same was accepted aria assess-
ment roll ordered prepared.
The Board ratify an agreement by and between the City Light Plant
and Ray ?:Lowe & Francis _Howe his wife, granting an easment through
Lot No. . 77; Reeves tone .Addition, to said Light Plant, (See grant ) .
The Board renew contract formerly entered into, to furnish the
Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eastern Traction Co . , with electric
energy for the operation of their Street and Interurban Cars, for
an additional period of six ( b) months, from i/my 20th, 1930, the
said contract being an extension of contract as approved by the
Public Service Commission November 9ch, 1928. The City Attorney
and Sup 't . , of Light Plant were instructed to prepare said contract
and file same with said Public Service Commission of Indiana.
The Clerk was directed to notify the T.H. I . & E. Traction Co. , of
the deplorable and dangerous conditions existing along their right
of way in the various streets of Richmond, and insist that immediate
steps be taken to place the streets in a safe condition.
Claims in mount of ',f1341-L-.9 / were allowed and ordered paid.
