Mondd r March 17th, 1930.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday March 17th
1530-, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present . The following proceed-
ings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board approved the contract & (pond of E. A.Mariani Co. , Inc. , I/L
contractors under Improve::ment Resolution No. 507-1530.
A petite n was received for improvement of the alley first north
of main Street, by constructing cement roadway, frots North 20th :
to 21st Street, referred to City Enginner for investigation and •
report.
A petition was received for the improvement of "South 16th Street,
by grading & paving the roadway with either Concrete, Sheet Asphalt
Rock Asphalt or Bituminous Macadam; also constructing cement curb,
gutter a 51 sidewalks on both sides of street, from South RE° to
South "H" Street, which was referred to Engineering Department
for investigation and report.

ivlr. Schnieder Councilman from 4th Ward, appeared before the Board
coi-laining of the boys playing ball in South 7th Street Park,
also as to construction of relief sewer in South " C" Street to
relieve the property east of South 9th Street, the above were taken
under advisement for investigation by the Board.

Mrs. Rudolph Leeds and .W,P.Robinson, appeared ''before the Board
recuestin that the city assist-:,the':-day.,nuisery, .br..having city
employees to do work around the Day Nursery c>r'operty. The Board
directed the Street Commissioner & Park Sup i t . , to do some grading
construct fence & miscellaneous work about the Lay Nursery as
recuested.
The Board reject all bids received for truck chassis received on
February 21st, 1)30, and directed the clerk to readvertise for bids
for truck chassis 1 or 1 , ton, .bias to be . received .gip to 10 A.l±..
Friday March '28th, 130.
Pe,.-mission was granted to Clarence Ferling et-al. to tap talc
storm sewer for ocher drain at 40) South 2,rd Street, said tap
to oe users to drain Geller only and no solids permitted to enter
said sewer.
Payrolls to march 16th were approved, Claims in amount of 44677.33
were allowed and orde="ed paid.
