Friday March 7th, 1930.
The Board of Public Forks of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at tlhe • of f ice of said Board Friday march 7th,
1930, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Edmondson, Peelle and Dye oeing present . The following proceed-
ings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the last tweeting were read and approved.
Remission was granted Thos Uuckwor'6h to cut the .curb on south
side of Dodge .Street at Lot ; 3b, Bellmond Addition.
Permission was glanced L' . ,F. Swartzel to cut the curb south side
of National Road at Lot 41, Havinia Park 1st Addition.
T_ne Board received a cdlla.unication from A. .0. Vioni, Atty. , for
the Hayes Construction, notifying the Board that the claim' of
said. Construction Company a.-,ainst J . L. Teegarden & Co. , in amount
of 41342. 25, had been adjusted and the claim withdrawn. The Board
direct the _Finance Department , to return to said J . L. Teegarden &
Co. , the improvement-bonds deposited_.by. him-to .cover_said claim.
Comes now E. A. Mariani as principal and Mae iviariani as surety
and file a bond ±n the sum of 500.00 Jo .indemnify the City from
any damages which may occur in the final adjustment of a claim
in sum of0287. 06, filed against r). A. Mariani & Co . , oy J.L.
reegarc.en & CO. , under his contrsot with the City under Improve-
ment Resolution 1`Jo. v60-1928, the Board a upon the advice of the
City Attorney approved said oorid, and noc direct the Finance
Department to pay to said L. A. fiariani & CO , S,he sum of ypj28. cS
being the 5i0 retained under said contract 4b00-192B.
Mrs . Julia Gaar, Prest. of 'Jayne County Historical Society, ap-
peared before the Board stating the - society had purchased the
Site of the old Hicksite meeting house and grounds on north side •
of North "A" Street, from North •llth to 12th Street , and request-
ed the City Lo have the City employees to clean up the ground &
plant trees. The Board by unanimous consent, instruct the Sup 't . ,
of Perks to clean up said grounds and plant the trees as reques t-
ed, the Historical Society to furnish, the trees.
E. A. Neuman, a resident of North 22nd Street, appeared before
the Board and requested that proceedings be had to improve said
Street, by constructing cement curb & gutters on both sides of
st1'eet, from Main to North "E1t Street, the Board take request,
under advisement for investigation,
Claims in amount of 4 (381. 28 were allowed & ordered'paid. . 111
