HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-03-1930 Office of Board of Public Works 3.67 City of Richmond, Indiana, • Monday March 3rd, 1930. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday March 3rd, 1930, at 9 o clock A.M. All the members of said -Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit: I/ Minutes .of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. Fire Chief, E. E. Miller, reported that he has been unable up to this time to get a settlement out of the ' Thos. P. Koras Truck Co. , of Chicago, Illinois, for damages to fire department equipment in amount of y _50.00 and labor of 1ti.E:L.& P.P. in amount of y js. 23, by reason of one of said firms trucks breaking poles and destroy- ing fire alarm box at Southwest 5th Street and National Road on February 15th, 1930. .The Board referred the matter to City Attorney C. M. Brown, iii an effort to have settlement of the above claims. The City Clerk was directed to prepare a bill for an ordinance ap- propriating -4 32,500.00 out of the Light Plant Funds, for purchase _ of Cooling Tower, labor and materials for installing the same at said Light Plant . City Civil Engineer S. W.Hodgin, was directed to get in touch with Boyd & Cook contractors, for Southeast Storm Setter, in an effort to have the grounds of mr. R. Crandall placed in proper condition, & with full authority to act in said :natter. The Board accepted dedication bf 5 foot off of east part of Tract 133 a 132 Official Map, -City of Richmond; Indiana., for widening of Ft- yVayne Avenue of west side of street in front of said tract, the City to pay for street improvement as constructed under Improvement Reso- lution No. 00- -1929.
