The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Friday February 21, 1930, at 9 o "clack A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Lye being present. The following proceedings were had,. to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting where read & approved. The matters referred to the Board at last meeting of council were ,disposed of as follows, to-wit : The matter of light at Southwest 1st & Dodge Street, as there is light, at both Southwest IID" & "E" Sts. and no houses in between fl upon recommendation of Sup 't. , of Light Plant, no light ' recomm fend- ed at this time. The matter of Fire Alarm Box at North 19th & "JII Streets, was r.ef- fcri'ed to Chief of Fire Department ; The matter of Band Concerts at Glen Miller Park, while the Board see no objections to holding such concerts; they deem it a matter for council to decide as there is no appropriation to pay for such ' concerts. No one remonstrating against said vacations as above described and being fully advised in the matter, the Board takes final action on said resolution, confirming, without modification, all former action taken on the same. And the Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners or holders of property, and of valuable in- terests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected, which list or roll shall describe the property beneficially affected. The Board grant permission to Mrs. Tracey the privilege to use the vacant lot at North 15th & "R'I Streets for gardening purposes during the season of 1930, upon the payment to the City of the sum of '4,12. 50. The Clerk was directed to notify the fire districts outside of the Indiana, extending north on Chester Pike and town of Chester and the district; also, the district aetween the Arba and New Paris Pikes, that unless the delinquencies accrued against said districts - are paid within ten days, the fire department will be directed notIl to respond to alarms of fire in said districts, L (see next page) The Board received an option on land owned by Arthur Curme & wife adjacent to Airport, for sum of 438, 000.00. Friday February 21st, 1930. • 363 -Pursuant to advertisement, the Board received bids for furnishing One 5 passenger four door sedan; One small 2 door sedan and One 1 or 1-ton truck for use of the City ' s Municipal Electric LiL•hting & . The Board of Public Ciorks met at the office of said Board Friday February 21st, 1930; at 2.30 o 'clock P . ,1. for the purpose of investigating and considering the various bids received for Light Plant Automobiles and Truck, all the members present , the following proceedings were- had; to-wit; The Board after reviewing the various cidss received, decide- all bids received which allowance for trade in of the Buick Coupe was below 4325.00 the au,:,rased value cf said coupe, where not to be considered under the law. • The Board decide that the bid of the `N.E.McWhin hey Co. , for . Tudor Ford Automobile at price of 4502.00 delivered, is the best bid received ana contract for said car was so awarded. The Board decide that the bid of- Chenoweth Auto Co. , for 1930 • iViodel T-19, type 2216 GMO Chassis- at price of 41200.00, the best . cid received, and contract for said Chassis was so awarded.
