The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Friday January 31st, 1930 at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present . The following proceedings were had to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. At the request of residents along the. National Road, west, the Clerk was directed to communica.t,e. with the' T. I. I. & E. Traction Co. , and ascertain if possible what action if any, has been taken by said company, in the matter of re-locating the street car. tracks :to the center of the National Road, from West llth Street to the west cor- poration line, as heretofore promised by said company. Dr. M.F.Johnston Secy. , of Board of Health, was granted permission to purchase a steel case, to keep. the records of the Health . Depart- ment in a safe- and proper manner. The Sup 't. , of Parks together with Mr. Dye, were instructed to make some arrangements at Glen Miller Park, whereby the lights can be turned on and off, as stated by the Sup 't . , some of the lights are an unneccesary expense at this time of the year. Thedirected Clerk Was directed to communicate with the various foundries in the City, -requesting them to bid as to what they will furnish the city with castings used by city such as, inlets, manhole covers, etc. , bids to be received February 10th, 1930, at 10 A.M. The Board decide to meet Monday February 3rd at 2 o 'clock P.M. with Me...ssrs, Fred Bethard, Wilfred Jeslaup, Wm. G. Bate, C.M.Haworth et al.presidents in the vicinity of the Bethard Garage located at 110 West Main Street, in matter of hearing any and all persons in- terested in the proposed renting of said garage for use of the city 's street department equipment,' and the clerk was directed to notify Messrs, Bethard, Jessup, Bate and Haworth of said meeting. Claims in amount of 47738.08 were allowed. The Board approved the various payrolls to Feb. 1st, 1930. / . The Board then adjourned, Prest. of Board Attest : Clerk of Board
