The Board. of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana. met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday Janu- ary 27th, 1930, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Ali the members of said Board Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : • The -Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. •/' A communication was received from Post Office Department request • - ing street signs be placed in - the City. The Clerk was directed to notify the Post Office !department, that the City Plan Com- mission of this city, is making investigation at this time with a view of placing signs at various street intersections of the City. in compliance with the request & reconnnendation of the Board of Public Health, the Board met with Charles Bostick who has been relieved as care taker at Detention Hoppital, in matter of ad- justing the matter of materials purchased and installed in caretakers house by said Chas. Bostick, Mr. Bostick having pre- sented to the Board itemized invoices and . receipted bills for • • Bath tub, Medicine case, gas heater & tank, kitchen sink, chan- deliers etc. , installed and paid - for by -him in the amount of 4153.92, the Board instruct Mr. Bostick to present his claim and file the same with the City in the sum of 4150.00 to can- cel the above claim in payment thereof. • The Police Department was directed to notify E.A,Mariani, to remove the large carrier truck from the city 's property along Southwest 1st Street. The City Light Plant was directed to remove the arc light from North 2nd & " 0" Street the said point being vacated. The Clerk was directed to prepare and present the same, at next council meeting a resolution to appraise and make sale of one "Buick Coupe" and one Ford Automobile used by City Light Plant, with a view of purchasing new automobiles in place thereof. Claims in amount of 8357.36 were approved and ordered paid. Mr. W. Jessup attorney for Fred Bethard appeared before the Board in matter of the city renting Mr. Bethard ' s garage for street equipment, the Board decide to bring this question before the citizens committee meeting to be held a•ednesday 7.30 P.M. be- fore requesting property owners objecting to using said garage, to meet with the Board.
