Friday January 24th, 1930.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board, Friday January 24th,
1J30, at 9 o ' clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Edmondson, Peelle and Dye being present , the following proceedings
were had, toLwit :
The minutes of preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The various complaints received from the co;neon council were refer-
red to the Street Com_rissioner.
The Board approved primary assessment roll, for the installation of
Light Post System in Southwest 3rd Street, from West Main Street to
the National Road.
• The Board approved a primary assessment roll, for the installation
of Light Post System in South 22nd Street, from Reeveston Road to
South ttEu Street.
Dr. M. F. Johnston Secy, of Board of Public Health and reported they

had selected Mr. C. Toney and Wife as caretakers at the Detention
House commonly called the Pest house, and reported as whereas the
present caretaker Mr. & Mrs. Bostick had been relieved, and that
Mr. Bostick, had placed a bath tub, range boiler, heater, kitchen
§ink etc. , and chandeliers in- the care-takers house at his own ex-
pense, with the understanding of the former Board of Public Works
that in the event he loved from the house, the -said above equipment
was his to remove or the city to re-imburse him for the same, if
they desired to leave the same in the building, the Doctor request-
ed the Board look into the matter and purchase the above from Mr.
Bostick, at the fair value of the same, The Clerk was directed to
request Mr. Bostick to appear at the next meeting of the Board,
Monday January 27th, 1930, in an endeavor to have an amicable under-
standing -or settlement by leaving the fixtures remain in the house.
The. _clerk reported that council had adopted a resolution authorizing
the Board to make sale of or trade iri two Graham aige Auto ' s &
the old Ford Coupe of Police Department , in purchasing of new auto 's
for said department .
