HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-20-1930 352 Office of Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana, -Monday January 20th, 1930. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday January 20th 1930, at 9 o ' clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Pee J.e and Dye being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the pr•eceedingrmeeting were read and. approved. . The Board received a remonstrance signed by Oscar E. Smith and 36 other resident property owners residing in the vicinity of the Bethard JUarage at West Main & 1st Streets, protesting and objecting to the proposed plan of the Board. to rent said garage for use of the Street Department equipment of the city, the same was placed on file for further investigation. The Finance Department was directed to pay J. L.Teegarden the amount of 43L . 91 being the 5% retained under contract of Improve- men_t Resolution No. 070-1928. The Finance Department was directed to pay J. L.Teegarden contract- or under Improvement Resolution N0.856-1920. 4842.45 of the 5% Or 072. 99 retained under above contract. Fire Chief E.E.Miller, was authorized to make the following changes in fire department, to-wit : Roy Dye driver at No. 2, to Captain of No. 5, Leslie Williams, Tillerman to Lieutenant on • Aerial truck; Walter Muye, captain at No. 5, to captain No. 4, Daniel Clark, Captain at No. 4, reduced to pipeman, to be effect- ive February 1st , 1930. Superintendent of Parks, was given permission to make sale of excess cord wood at Glen Miller Park. The Clerk was instructed to report to the council, the actions of the Board in matters referred to them at last council session. The Board approved the various payrolls to January 16th, 1930.
