The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday January 13th, 1930 at 9 o 'clock A. Y. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Edmondson, Peelle and Dye, being present. .The following proceedings were had, to- wit : • . The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read & approved. Mr. .J .. Dunn, appeared before the Board requesting the road in Southwest 16th Street, be placed in condition by placing cinders . on same by the city stating the road is in a dangerous condit- ion, the Board takes same under advisement until investigation as to cities liability to keep the road in .repair. • Upon request of J .H.Bode, The Citizens Mutual Insurance Co. , were granted the use of the Council chamber Wednesday P. M. January 15th, 1930, for their annual meeting. Upon recommendation of D. C.Hess Supt . , of Light Plant, lights were ordered placed on West Main Street, at 9th, llth & 17th Streets, and the request for lights in Southwest 16th and 17th - Streets, south of National Road upon recommendation of Mr.Hess were not ordered, light was .ordered placed oil National Road east -at Austin Switch. Application of Writ. I. Campfield, for position of Inspector on construction of new streets, alleys, etc. , was received and xmfax referred to City Engineer. On account of complaints from property owners as to the condit- ion in which the work on Southeast storm water sewer was left by the contractor, the clerk was directed to request Boyd & Cook contractors for said work to meet or have their represent- ative meet with them Friday A.1. A committee appeared before the Board requesting the City to place lights around the field at the Air Port west of the City which was referred to said committee and Sup 't . of Light Plant to investigate and report back to the Board. In matter of installing 123 additional light: posts in the )4 blocks on city streets, as heretofore approved by the council and former administration, reported by Mr. Hess, the Board take the same under advisement for further investigation.
