HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 1180• • o ClIAP;TEI-~ F~ e'~i~:'.~ I C TAE 7 AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 674, CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 8, SECTIONS 6-1 THROUGH 6-35 Sec. 7-74: Zoning of Property Owned by FIRST ILLINOIS BANK OF LAGRANGE, AS TRUSTEE UNDER TRUST NO. 9132 WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on the amendment to said Chapter 8, Article 6, Sections 6-1 through 6-35 (Ordinance No. 674) of said Village of Plainfield as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this property is subject to an annexation agreement obligating the Village to zone the property I-1 as a condition of said annexation; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Plainfield has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings in the premises and its recommendation that the real estate hereinafter described be zoned I-1 under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-1 through 6-35, entitled "An Ordinance Requiring Permits for Buildings, Structures, and Uses, Dividing the Village into Districts, Specifying Minimum Lot Sizes, Set Backs and Side Yards, Regulating the Bulk of Buildings, Providing fnr Appeals and Imposing Penalties," be granted; and WHEREAS, we believe that the highest and best use of the real estate hereinafter described is for uses permitted in an I-1 District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Sections 6-1 through 6-35; and WHEREAS, no written objections to the zoning of said premises were filed and no one appeared in person to object to the zoning of said real estate; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield that the zoning of the real estate hereinafter described should be zoned and classified as an I-1 District under said Zoning Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as Follows: Sec. 7-74-1: Territory Described. That the following tract of land, to-wit: That part of the Southeast quarter of Section 4, in Township 35 North, and in Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Plainfield Township, Will County, Illinois, lying Southwesterly of westerly right-of-way line of Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroad, and South of line described as follows: beginning at a point on the West line of the said Southeast quarter that is 497.40 feet North of the South West corner thereof, thence East at right angles to the said West line of the Southeast quarter, 324.6 feet to the said Westerly right-af- way line of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroad, excepting therefrom the West 233 feet, also excepting therefrom the South 50 feet; and also excepting therefrom that part described as follows; beginning at the intersection of the said Westerly right-of-way line of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroad with the Northerly right-of-way line of a public road, said line being parallel to the South line of said Section 4, and 50 feet North of as measured at a right angle to the said South line of Section 4, thence Westerly along the said Northerly right-of-way line of the public road, 120 feet, thence Northerly to a point on the said Westerly right-of-way line of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroad, thence Southeasterly along the said Westerly right-ofwway line of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroad to the point of beginning, in Will County, Illinois; which said tract of land was previously zoned under the ordinances of Will County, and pursuant to the annexation agreement executed this date, said tract is now classified and zoned as I-1 District under said Chapter 8, Article 6, Section 5-2 (Ordinance No. 574) and is hereby added to and made a part of the I-1 District under said Chapter 8, Article 5, Section 5-2. Sec. 7-74- - If Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part or section hereof shall not effect the validity of the remainder hereof. r Sec. 7-74-3: This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 1180. This Ordinance, numbered as 1180, shall be in full force and effect after its passage and approval. PASSED this 17th day of October 1988 L.
