City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday December 16th,1929.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday December
16th, 1929, at 9 •o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, McFai1 and Henley being present. The following proceed- .
ings were had, to-wit :
The Board received .communication signed by Carl Maag,Vice Prest.
of Great States Corporation, agreeing to pay the rental to the
City of Richmond, for the next five years at the rate of 6¢ per
foot if extension of 6" water main is laid in South £Sth street
from South "0" Street south 375 feet. The Board upon said corn •

unicat ion accepted said proposition and order the Richmond Water
Corporation, to extend the 6" water main in South 8th Street
from South "0" Street to a point 375 feet south, and place a
fire hydrant on said extension to be located by Fire Chief.
Permission was granted 0. G. Whelan to cut the curb on east
side of South 6th Street at Lot No. 106 J. Smiths, Add. ,
Upon request of John F. Hipskind, the Board decide to meet with
Messrs, Hipskind, Fairbanks-Morse Co. , City Atty. and Mayor on
December 23rd, 1929, in an effort to have the matter of contro-
versy between Hipskind & Fairbanks Morse Co. , settled.
The Clerk was directed to write A. M. Gardner, in an effort to •
have the payment due the city for the old hose house made in
order to have matter cleaned up before January 1st, 1930.
The Clerk was directed to notify, W. .L. Magaw contractor, to
settle with the city Oor road roller, wagon tank and oil tank
purchased by him from the city, for the sum of $800.00 on or
before January 1st, 1930.
Claims in amount of 01,817.80 were allowed.
The Board approved the various payrolls to December 16th, 1929.
