HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-14-1929 Office of Board of Public Works, 322 City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday October 14th, 1929. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday October 14th 1929, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Mcrail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear all persons whose property is primarily as- sessed under Improvement Resolution No. 874-1928, for the iMprove- ment of South 15th' Street, by cement curb,gutter,trees & sidewalks were necessary, and paving the roadway with bituminous macadam from South "G" to "H" Street. No one remonstrating the Board ap- proved a final assessment roll confirming the priginal roll as heretofore approved and now direct the same be forthwith trans- mitted to the Department of Finance. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose prop- ery is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No.875-1928 for the improvement of South 15th Street, by cement curb, gutter, sidewalks, & trees and paving the roadway with bituminous macad- am, from South "G" to "H" Street. No one remonstrating, the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the primary roll as • heretofore approved. And now direct the same be forthwith trans- mitted to the Department of Finance. • The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons whose prop- ery is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 76- 1928, for the improvement of South "G" Street, by constructing cement sidewalk, curb & gutter & trees both side of street and grading & paving the roadway with bituminous macadam, from South 13th to 16th Street, No one remonstrating, the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the original assessment rollmas heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forthwith trans- - mitted to the Department of Finance. The City Engineer reported the completion of contract under Im- provement Resolution No.904-1929, for constructing cement side- walks on both sides of South " I" Street, from South 5th to 6th Street, and approved a primary assessment roll for same.' The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Improvement Resolution No. 882-1929, for the improvement of South "H" Street from South 5th to 6th Street. The Board directed the Finance Department to pay to W.L.Magaw 5% retained under Improvement Resolution No.850-1920,-$145. 60. The Board directed the Finance Department to pay to Pyle & Ridge- way, 5% retained under Improvement Resolution No.863-1920- ¢504.30. Claims in amount of $11,958.30 were allowed.
