Thursday August 29th, l92.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday August
29th, 1929, at 9 o ° dock A. ill. Messrs, McFall and. Henley being
present; absent, i,zir. Reid; Two members of said Board being pres-
ent. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The ten day period having passed for petitions for improving Soubh
ti oit Street, from South 5th to 8th Street, and no petition having
been received for any materials other than designated by the Board
of Public Works on August 15th, 1)29 . The Board awarded the xaitkzzak
contract for South improving
said South " 0" Street,
�Eet, from 5th to
8th Street, as provided for under Improvement Resolution No. 899-1929.
to Md . L. iviaga?j at prices named in his oid submitted therefore on
'August 15th, 1929. .
The Board approved a primary assessment roll of benefits and Nizaa
damages under •�eciaratory Reso1Utlon No. 235-1929 for the open-
ing & widening of South loth Street, from north line of Tract 556
to north line of South "J" Street .
The Board approved an agreement by and between the City of Richmond
Indiana, thru its Board of Public Works, to The Sanitary Service
Advertising Company of Richmond, Indiana, to place keep and main-
tain 20 self closing waste paper receptacles, for a. period of four
(Li-) years, said Advertising Company, to keep said receptacle in
a clean and sanitary condition and to remove all the debris from
said. receptacle, and not to place any obscene or objectionable
acvver f i Bing on said receptacles . .
The Board upon recommendation of Fire Chief, instruct the clerk
to advertise for bids for 1, 000 feet of Fire Hose.
His Honor the rha y or reported to the Board that he had received the he
resignation of Walter V. Reid as a _iie.:iber of the Board. of Public
Vdorks to -take effect August 3i1 st, 1929.
Claims in amount of 20, :7+. + were allowed. .
