The Board of Puolic Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in n egular session at the office of said Board Thursday August 15th, 1929, at 9 o 'clock A. IA. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : Permission was granted the following to cut the curbs for drive- ways as follws, viz : Ralph Case west side S.12th St. at Lot 103 Reeveston Addition. Geo. A. Lamb . Lot 5 Annette Add. northside geu. h III" bet 9th & 10th. Thos. hitchel.l, Tract 54, south side Maple bet , Ridge Hunt Sts . , The Board met to hear all persons interested or Whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 903-1929, for the improve- mea t of the alley between South 9th & 10th Street, by coils bruct ink; cement roadway from South " I" to. I JU Street. after hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are eq- . ual to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon take action on said resolution the sasie being_ confirmed vlibhout_ modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 904-1929, for the improve- ment of South "..I" Street, by co:iistructin` 5 ' cement sidewalk on coLa sides of said street, from South 5th to Gth Street . No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board decide that the benefits- to the proper ty liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the city civil engineer, and thereupon take action on said resolution, the same beingconfirmed . without modification. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose prop- erty is affected by the Opening of South " G" Street, from South loth to 23rd Street, as provided under Declaratory Resolution No. 257- 1929. No one remonstrating, the Board ibein fully advised in the premises, the Board confirm all former action taken on said reso- lution, and how direct that a list or roll be prepared of all oc1'n- ers of property therein sought , to be taken or to be injuriously affected. by said opening, which list or roll shall also describe fad the property beneficially affected. No one remonstrating and the Board being duly advised in the premises, confirm all former action taken on said resolution and now direct that a list or roll lad prepared of all owners of property therein sought , to be taken or to be injuriously affected by said opening, which list or roll • shall also describe the property beneficially affected. Thursday August 15tn, 1929 . 80 3 - The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose prop- erty is affected under Declaratory Resolution No. 239-1929, to ac- quire a Right of Gaye for the construction and maintenance of sewers, beginning in South 23rd Street at south line of Lot No. 290 Reeveston Addition, thence west along said south line of lot 290 and lot 265 to a point S Ieet west of Southwest corner of lot 290; thence south par- allel with & 8 feet west of the east line of Lots, 270-271-272-2 3- 2 7�--*275-27f5-277-278. & 279 Reeveston Addition, to orth line of South I/ ' IIEU Street . No one remonstrai in2, and the board being duly advised in the premises, confirm all former action on said resolution, and n0w direct that a list U_r roll be prepared of all owners of property and of valuable interests therein sought , t0 be taken or to be injuriously affected which list shall also describe the property beneficially affected. Tie Clerk was directed to notify the F. & N. Lawn ,lower Co. , to repair the street at their switch running across Washington Ave. The Clerk was directed to notify George 33 . Gross, to discontinue his cement products plant at l5L 2 Ratliff Street , which is be- ing operated in a resident district, in violation to the Olty ' s Zoning Ordinance. The Sanitary Inspector was instructed to notify John Atkinson 4.27 Randolph Street, to take steps to have proper drainage for • waste water at ,his property located on Hunt Street south of Charles Street, or stop his tenants from running the waste water out in the gutter on Hunt Street. The Police Bep rtment, vvere authorized to purchase new tires a tubes for their Buick Automobile.
