The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 29th, 1929
at 9 _o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, LcFail
and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board promise and agree that if the property owners on Hilda
IIStreet, from Easthaven Avenue to west terminous of said street, have
the street brought down to proper grade, without expense to the City
of Richmond, Indiana, that the City will place gravel thru the center
of roadway 16 foot wide, without any expense to- property owner. This
promise is made with the understanding that the property o hers will
grade the street as above mentioned, otherwise this promise is void.
The Clerk was directed to notify the O.& O.Ry. Co. , to maintain their
track at grade of curb to conform to improvement now being made on
South "H" Street ; also, to remove the hump at their paving of the
crossing . in South "J" Street .

The Finance Department .were instructed to pay Laniel G. Burkhardt
contractor, the amounts retained under the following contracts, viz;
5% retained under Improvement Resolution i o.851-192S 6113.16
jy? retained under Improvemrnt Resolution No.654-1928 66.32
5/° retained under Improvement Resolution No.851-1928 84.53.
The Board approve advertisement for Stoker, Non-return valves and
Fire Brick, for Municipal Electric Lighting 8_ Power Plant, bids to
be received up to 10 A.x,i. Thursday August ath, 1929.
Claims in amount of 01174. 65 were allowed.
The City Civil Engineer, reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution iVo.894-1929, for- improvement of the alley be-
tween South 5th & bth Street, by constructing cement roadway, from
South "A" Street north to 2nd alley south of Main Street, same was
accepted and assessment roll ordered prepared.
