The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board_ Monday July 15th 1929, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, iioFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Clerk was directed to notify the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. , to open the , mile along their crossing on west side of Northwest 5th Street. Sup 't. , of Light Plant was instructed to furnish men and spray to whitewash the basement in city building. Notice was received from Public Service Commission of Indiana, of hearing to be heY.a_ in Council Chamber 10 A.M. July 22nd, 1929 in matter of petition of the Richmond Home Telephone Co. , for authority to file and put in effect certain rules and regulations affecting rates and service in Richmond, Indiana. • Communication was received from Indiana Body Company, in matter of improvement of South H.' Street, stating the street should be made in addition to sidewalks, curb & gutters, Clerk was instructed to notify said company, why the street or roadway was eliminated on said inrorovement . The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 234-1929 to widen Sough 20th Street along west side of Tract 517 Official • Map, City, (bee resolution) . The Board instructed the clerk to inform the Common Council, that after having made further investigation in matter of storm water sewer, for the relief of the property in Reeveston Place Addition at South 23rd St . & Reeveston Road,; also South 22nd Street at South "E" Street, they desire to report and recommend at this time, that said storm water sewer be constructed to South 22nd and . South "G" Street, at estimated cost of 440, 000.00. Pursuant to advertisement, the Board received bids for "Boiler" for City 's Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant, as follots_ to-wit : " The Babcock & Wilcox Co_. , bid; Item 41-5 32, 263 .00; Item 786.00; Item #-42.00; Price Item °#1-2-A,3-454, 21-1-7.00.
