Thursday June 20th,1929.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday June 20th,1929
at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said- Board, Messrs, Reid,
McFail and Henley, being- present. The following proceedings were
had, to-wit :
Permission was granted Jordan, Unser & Waltermann, to cut the curb
for driveway at v32 South llth Street.
The Board approved the contract & bond of W. L. Magaw, contractor
under Improvement Resolution No. 895-1929.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 902-1929
for the improvement of South "L" Street, by construction of cement
curb & gutters and planting of trees on both sides of street and
grading & paving the roadway with one of the following kinds of
modern city pavements, to-wit : Reinforced Concrete, Sheet Asphalt,
Rock Asphalt or Bituminous Macadam-, from- South 12th to 13th Street.
A petition was received for vacating the alley between North 13th &
14th Street, from North "F" Street south 170 feet, referred to the
City Planning Commission. -
Complaints and requests for lights received at last council meeting
were referred to street Commissioner & Sup 't. , of Light Plant.
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of Hilda Street by
constructing cement sidewalks, C.& G. from Easthaven Avenue west,
under Improvement Resolution No. 888-1929, taken under advisement
for invest-igation.
The Board received bids for coal as follows, to-wit :
Shera Coal & Supply Co. , bid;
