The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met 'in .regular session at the office of said Board Monday June 17th, 1929, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, McFail and Henley present; Mr. Reid absent. Two members of said Board being present. The follow- ing proceedings were had, to-wit : • The ten day period under Improvement Resolution No.895-1929, for the improvement of South "LH Street, by curb, gutter, trees and paving roadway on north one-half of street, from South 9th to 12th Street, -having expired, and no other material for paving roadway than the one selected by Board. On motion the contract for said improvement .was awarded to W.L. Magaw, the lowest bidder on said improvement, specifying reinforced concrete roadway and planting of trees, cement C.& G. under said resolution. A petition was received, requesting that the Privy vaults be taped • into sewer in proper manner at 402-404-406 & 408 North 16th Street • abutting 'the alley between North 15th & 16th Streets, from North "D" to "E" Street, same was referred to City Engineer & Health Department for investigation. A petition was received, for improvement of Northwest 3rd Street by. constructing cement curb & gutter on both sides thereof, from Randolph to Lincoln Street, referred to Engineer for plans. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.900-1929, for the construction of Relief Sewer in South "B" Street, South 6th .St. to "B" St; thence to 15th St; also a branch in South" C" St, from •7th to 8th Street, to be paid by the City and not by assessment against the property, (estimated cost 4165,000.00) The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.901-1929, for the construction of Storm Sewer and its appurtenances, in Southeastern part of the City. (for description see resolution) to be paid by the City and not by assessment against the property, (estimated cost :155,000.00) . Upon motion the Board requested that the City Controller request or recommend to the Common Council of Richmond, Indiana, that an ordinance be prepared appropriating the amount of money as esti- mated above for the construction of Sewers under Improvement Reso-. lution No 's. 900 & 901-1929, the money to be raised by a subse- quent bond issue against said City total amount $320,000.00. Claims in' amount of 43653.51 were allowed. Payrolls to June 16th, were approved by the Board. The Board then adjourned, • Prest. of Board pro-tem. Attest: Clerk of Boar
