THRASHER DATE: March 4, 2005 TO: Tom Commissioners RE: Proposed Policy for compensating exempt employees As directed at the February meeting, I have prepared the following for your consideration. The background in relation to this matter is detailed in the Minutes of the February 11th meeting under Item IX.A. "Administrative Fees -Hurricane Frances. Proposed Policy: If exempt employees must work extraordinarily longer hours because of critical project demands, crisis, and/or other emergencies, they shall be compensated for the extra hours at their regular rate of salary. THE PROPOSED POLICY STATED HEREIN (compensating exempt employees) WAS ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION AT THE REGULAR MEETING THAT WAS HELD ON MARCH 11, 2005.
