City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday June 10th, 1929.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday June 10th '
1929, at 9 o'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Reid, McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
• The Board approved the contract & bond of Lee Ridgeway, contract-
or under Improvement Resolutions No. 893 and 894-.1929.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 897-1929, for the im-
provenient of the alley between North 15th & 16th Street, by con-
structing cement roadway from North "D" to "E" Street. No one ap-
pearing or remonstrating against said improvement, The Board de-
cides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for
the cost of said improvement _are ,equal to the same, and thereupon
take action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without
modification.
The Board met to hear all persons interested in, or whose proper-
ty is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 898-1929, for the
improvement of Northwest 3rd Street, by constructing cement curb
& gutter on both sides of street, from Randolph to Kinsey Street
after hearing all persons interested who. appeared; and carefully
considering a remonstrance_ filed against said improvement. On
motion of Mr. Henley, the Board unanimously rescind said resolu=
tion.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll for the improvement
of 1st alley north of National Road, by cement roadway from South-
west. 4th to 5th Street, under Improvement Resolution No.879-1928,
and now order that the property lying within 150 feet of improve-
ment, be assessed as 'to special benefits.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Improvement
Resolution No.885-1929, for construction of a Sanitary Sewer in
the territory between Southwest 1st Street & Whitewater Boulevard
• and between Southwest "D" & "E" Street.
Contractors certificate in amount of $7104.00 was issued to W.L.
Magaw, under Improvement Resolution No.880-1928, for improvement
of Ravinia Park Addition.
Upon recommendation of Sup 't. , Hess the Board order arc lights in-
stalled at east entrance to Lucky Drive on New Paris Pike; and 3
on National Road east; also direct curbs be painted yellow; and
direct heads of various departments, to make arrangements with
Mr. Hess, for photographing drivers of trucks etc. , and make ap-
plication for Chauffeurs Licenses for said drivers as provided
by late State Laws.
Police Board, were requested to grant Wrn. Morey Special police
powers at Golf Grounds in Glen Miller Park.
• The , Finance Department were instructed to pay J..F.Hipskind, A.27. 51
amount due under Improvement Resolution No.878-1928.
