The Board of Public Works of the City of 'Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday May 16th, 1929,
at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, .Reid,
MoFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had,
to-wit :
I/ The Board met with;property owner as to advisability of opehing al-
ley between South 12th & 13th Street under Declaratory Resolution
No. 232-1929, hearing. postponed to June 3rd, 1929.
Permission was granted Toney Sonsini to cut the curb in Southwest 3rd
Street at Lot 44, Lamb & Boslow's, Addition.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.898-1929,
providing for the improvement of Northwest 3rd Street, by construct-
ing cement curb & gutter on both sides of street, from Randolph to
Kinsey Street.
Upon the recommendation of D.C.Hess, Sup 't. , of Light Plant, the Board
awarded the contract for " Spray Pond Material" to Irvin C. DeHaven
Engineering Company, at their bid price of 42118.00, being the lowest
and best bid received. •
In matter of purchase of Line Truck and Equipment for the Light Plant
on motion of Mr. Henley, the Board awarded the contract to the
Chenoweth Auto Company, for G.M. C.Truck and equipment at their bid
price of 43690.95, the same being the lowest bid received.
The Board approved the various payrolls to May 16th, 1929.
Claims in amount of 45509.71 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
