The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday May 13th, 1929 at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were _ had, to-wit : Permission was granted Steven Peters to lay drain pipe under the sidewalk at 126 South 5th Street. I/ Permission was granted George Peffly to cut the curb at 833 West Main Street. • The Board approved primary assessment roll under Improvement reso- lution No. 871-1928, for cement sidewalk on north side of Nation- al Road, from Charles to East Haven Avenue. Pursuant to continuance to this date, the Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution, No. 894-1929, for improvement of alley between South 5th .& 6th Street, by constructing cement roadway and sanitary sewer from South 11A" to 2nd alley south of Main Street. No one appearing .the Board modified said resolution by eliminating the sewer, and thereupon decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost thereof, as estimated by the city civil engineer, and thereupon approve said resolution as modified. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.897-1929 to improve the alley between North 15th & 16th Street, by construct- ing cement roadway from North "D" to t1E" Street. The Board order Improvement resolution for cement curb & gutter on both sides of Northwest 3rd Street, from. Randolph to Kinsey Street. The Clerk was directed to request the lot owners interested in the opening of alley between South 12th & 13th Street to South " I" ' St . to meet with them on Thursday next for conference on same. The Board rent the city property east of Clear Ureek and north of Main Street, to C. Rush, for gardening purposes for season of 1929, for the sum of $5.00 with the understanding the weeds shall be . kept out. A notice of hearing in matter of abandining to South Side C.& 0. Station, set for May 22nd, 1929, was received and Clerk ordered to mail said notice to South Side Improvement Association, • The Board then adjourned, ' • Prest. of Board Attest : Clerk of oard
