Office of Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana, • Monday April •1st, 1929. • The Board of Public Works orrs of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday April 1st 1929, at 9-"o ° clock A.M. All the members of said Board Messrs Reid, McFail and - Henley being present. The following proceedings were had/, to-wit ! Permission was granted the Richmond Loan & Savings Association to cut the curb on Southwest "l')" Street near Southwest L<th St. at Lot 101 Jenkins, Addition. The Clerk was directed to ask for bids on newspaper advertising for the year beginning May 1st, 1929. A le per was received from W. G. Bate, Sup ' t, of Schools, proposing Tennis Courts in West 7th Street Park also, swings, stating the School City vvill do the rough grading for courts, and the city to built up and surface courts and erect backstops; also, the School City will furnish ripe and other fittings if the City will have the same assembled. The Clerk was instructed to noti- fy Mr. Bate, the city will assemble the swings if the necessary materials is furnished by school city, and take the matter of Tennis Courts under advisement for further investigation. A request for cinders in alley between South 17th & 14th Street south of "E" Street was recai'-ved and referred to Street Commis- sioner. • A request for adjusting t he assessment for construction of a sewer known as Clear Creek Trunk & Lateral System, assessed against Part of Lot 9 , in West View, Addition, owned by Gertie Allen, was taken up by the Board , and no changes made in said assessment. The Clerk was instructed to prepare aooroorig.tion ordinances in amount of 126, 300. 00 out of earnings of M. E. L,&; P.P. for removing old engine labor on foundation, floor etc. , purchase of land_, ens. m1SC. expense on new side track, addition for Super Heater; also. for spray -pond equipment , labor etc. , and line truck, and present the same to Common Council for action thereon.
