Thursday March 21st, 1929 .
The Board of Public ' orks of the City of Rich :innd , Indiana , met •
in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday March
21st , 1929 , at 9 odclock A. M. All the members of said Board , Messrs,
Reid , McFa.il and Henley , bei r present.. The following proceedings -
were had, to—wit :

A petition was received praying for sanitary sewer in Horse shoe
Addition, referred to Engi r ering Department .
A petition for extension of water :rain on south side 'of New Paris
Pike , from vor. th 12th Street , east was received and referred to •
Richmond Water Works Corporation .
A petition signed by George Cones , et—al, praying that Dodge Street
also Southwest let Street , ce paved with Rock Asphalt as provided
under Improvement Resolution No. 886-1929, this being a majority
of the resident property owners along the line of said i nproveRent
' the ten day period for filing of petitions for materials to be
. used being up. The Board on motion acquiesce in said petition and
now order said streets be paved with Rock Asphalt , and award the
contract to Lee Ridgeway , at $14 .24 per linear foot for complete
street improvement , as per his bid submitted March 7 , 1929 .
The ten day period for filing petitions for paving materials to
be used in improvement of south 22nd Street , from Reeveston Road
to South 11Es street, under I :Toro verve nt Resolution No. 881-1928 ,
no petition having been filed , the Board award the contract for
said improvement to Lee Ridgeway $19 .66 per linear foot , as
hoer -his bid received March 7 , 1929, specifying Rock Asphalt for
said paving .
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No . 231-1929
for the vacation of a portion of South Mth Street at South II0"
Street .
The Board received bids for painting the North 10th Street and
the (Doran Bridges, as follows to—wit :
0. L. Mains, bid ;
For furnishing all labor & tools for cleaning and naintin ; the
North 10th Street and the Doran Bridges, city to furnish the
material , One Coat — $1200. 00; Two coats --$1 87 .00. The bid of
O ..L .iVlains , bei nc the only bid received , toe contract was on
. motion awarded to said O.L.Mains .
The Board approved a primary assessment roll , under I :,prove,ne nt
known as LightinF and Light Post System of street lights .
Claims in amount of $7934.71 were allowed . III,
The Board then adjourned ,
