The Board of Puolic Works of the City of Richmond, IIndiana, met
in regular session at the office of Usaid Board Monday Larch 18th
1929, at 9 o ' clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Reid, McNeil arid I3enler; being present. The followini`? proceedings
were had, to—wit :
Upon recotcl_:endatlon of Fire Chief, the Water Works Corporation
were instructed to place a fire hydrant in Ridge Street , oetween
Stevens Street and the Williamsburg Pike, sa_ e to he located by
I/ Fire Chief.
A petition for the improvement of South ' II' Street , by constructing
cement sidewalks on both sides of street, from South 2th to 9th
Street was received & referred to Engineer for investigation 8, report
0oaciunica.t i ons from Black & Veatch and the Nairoanks,Dior se & Co . ,
in ,Matter of sewage ptimps were received and placed on file .
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 230-1 29
providing for the opening' and widening of Northwest 6th Street ,
from the let alley south of Pearl Street to West Main Street .
The Clerk was instructed to request cJ . F. Looney Sup 't . , of Postal
Telegraph—Cable Co. , to meet with the Board for a conference in

Matter of pole line, at e.s early a date as convenient for him to
arrenee such _ileeting Mondays or T4rsday preferable . '
Claims in amount of ; 857. 67 were allowed .
The Board approved the various payrolls to Jla_rch l6th, 1929.
