The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday February 28th, 1929, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of - said Board,Messrs, Reid, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any of persons interested • or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 882- 192 9, for the improvement of South "H" Street, by , constructing cement sidewalks, curb, gutter and planting of trees on both sides thereof, and resurfacing roadway; from South 5th to 8th Street . After hearing all persons interested who appeared, and carefully consider,,ing a remonstrance filed, the Board referred the remonstrance to the City Civil Engineer, for investigation and report . The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any of persons .interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No . Sf7-1929 for the improvement of North 22nd Street , by constructing cement _ curb :,;utter on aoth sides , of street, from Main to North "E" St . On motion of Mr . Henley, the Board modified said resolution by striking out the curb & gutter on the east side of street , along 'Glen Miller, Park, from Main to North "P-"" Street, - lfr. McFa 1, voting,' against -said modification. The Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are ecual • to the cost - of same; and monfirm said resolution as modified. Mr. McFail, dissenting against said modification. After .conferring with Mr. Chalfant; low bidder on street oiling • the Board upon motion of Mr Henley, award the contract for said street oiling to The Hayes Construction Co. , et price yid on. same February 21st, 1929, .15/2 s per gallon applied, less 2% discount . It having been determined that Mr. Chalfant , has no equi-ofent of . his own and would have to depend on some one else to apply said oil, which the Board thought might cause delay in oiling streets . • The Clerk was directed to serve notice on Murland . Muey, to have the mud removed from sidewalks adj scent to his property in South 5th Street , from "H" to " I" Street ; also, to School Board as to mud on walks in South 9th Street also South"J" Street adjacent to Hiooa.rd Junior Rich School; also to W. McWhinney as to mud ' on Talks on north side of aiain Street, between 14th & 15th Streets. Claims in amount_ of ,01 j0. 51, ' were allowed.
